exPRSso, what else?

"exPRSso" is an application that allows you to reproduce an existing, already calculated Polygenic Risk Score (PRS) in your cohort/data, such as those stored in PGScatalog.

To reproduce the PRS, this app leverages on published PRS summaries for a given trait and compute the score in your data, which should be reported in a specific format (.ped and .map files).

The objective of exPRSso is to test the reproducibility of published PRSs in order to assess their performance in predicting a specific trait within another cohort (of the same ethnicity of the cohort in which the original PRS was calculated). A PRS with good generalizability across different cohorts is a measure that properly represents the genetic susceptibility underlying the risk of a particular trait, and that's cool.
